Microprocessor has proven to be part of many process controls

system. Thus realizing the fact the lab is full-fledged with kit based on 8085 , 8086, Z80, and other interfacing emulators .The lab also has Stepper Motor , ADC/DAC, Floppy and hard disk controllers ,CRT Interfacing facilities

along with 8051, 8048,8097 family micro-controllers. This lab gives students the both the access and unlimited exposure to some of the modern technologies using the microprocessor. This particular lab contains sophisticated equipments, starting from 8085 kit to modern day micro-controllers. The lab has the facilities to perform almost all-interfacing applications.

The process control lab is equipped with instruments, which provides to the students an exposure to real industrial environment conditions. The process stations are computerized so as to help students to know about the present day methodology of control in process industries. Also the students can learn and master how to control the parameters such as flow, pressure, temperature etc. The lab is equipped with level processing station, temperature-processing station ,and flow level controller, pressure level controller. Measuring and calibrating instruments for various parameters like pressure ,flow, viscosity, LLCON SOFTWARE analyzes study of control action.

One of the basic knowledge, which a instrumentation engineer pockets, is in the field of transducers. This lab forms a wide exposure to the modern day sensors and other essential transducers that are available in the present day market. Transducer lab contemplates on study of various industrial essentials like capacitive , inductive, optical, strain and vibration sensors .Fiber optics and Bio-medical sensors, which form advanced technology, are also analyzed.

The electrical lab is well equipped with state of the art AC and DC

machines along with special machines like stepper motors cross-field machines( amplidyne and metadyne) alternators etc,. The lab offers to the students a detailed study in machines along with a thorough knowledge of control applications.

Electronics being the backbone of any modern computer, knowledge of various electronic entities is of utmost importance. Realizing this fact the department has been provided with a modern electronics lab with latest electronic equipments.

The electronic instrumentation lab is equipped with electronic components, devices based on the instrumentation field. The students are made to contemplate on the swift growing electronic era. Electronic analysis forms the basis for many industrial applications.

The department has been provided with a well-equipped lab for conducting various experiments on peripherals and interfacing techniques. This lab is equipped with micro-85, micro-86, power I, power II, Star 85, micro-controller kits, add on cards to be used with power I kits and also PCL types. Students are well trained in programming using different interfacing cards. The students for their project work also extensively use this.

The department�s computer lab has been provided with state-of-the-art computers and computer accessories. The lab boasts of 50 HCL Pentium-200 MMX nodes and 5 Pentium-266 servers. The lab provides the students with round-the-clock access to various latest software. The detailed hardware configurations and list of software installed is available overleaf.

Electronics and Instrumentation is also related with mechanical engineering. The workshop is equipped with speed lathe, engine lathe, bench lathe and automatic lathe, CNC, milling machine, drilling machine, shaping machines.

The fluid laboratory is equipped with turbines, Pelton Wheel, various orifices, flow meters, and pumps. The thermal laboratory is equipped with boilers, engines, blowers, refrigeration tester impart a wide knowledge to the students of instrumentation.
