We are thankful to placement cell for helping us undergo industrial training during our sixth Semester Holidays. We would like to give a brief report about the training we underwent at PRIME POWER CONTROLS & AGT ELECTRONICS ,CBE.
PRIME POWER CONTROLS is a company which specializes in development of Un-interrupted Power systems and winding transformers. We were given training on UPS Working principles their assembly and their trouble shooting techniques. We also had hands-on experience about winding transformers.
AGT ELECTRONICS is into manufacturing telephone call monitors and electonic cash registers. We learnt the working principles of TCMs and ECRs. Both the product are micro-controlled based. They are basically programmed using C language. Their basic circuitry were explained and training was given on it.
During the training period we had a feel of the actual working environment of an industry. We were greatly enriched from the experience we had from our training.

Name of the Student : T.MADHUSUDHAN SHARMA(96b21)-Final Mech.

This summer I had training at NLC,Neyveli. I was posted in specialized mining equipment(SME)/Erection Yard/Mines. It was a nice chance to learn practically what we study here in college. In my training period of 20 days I learnt abput various locking devices, latest in welding technologies like ultrasonic welding and testing.
Apart from all these, I watched the erection of bucket wheel excavators and spreader of different capacities also learnt about ropes and load carried by them . We were taught about cranes and heavy lifting structures too.
On a whole the training was very interesting,educative and informative. I wish many more from our college go there and improve their skills and gain more knowledge. I thank the principal and placement Cell Co-ordinators for their encouragements and their help rendered towards my training.

Name of the Student : Johinth Kannan - Final CSE.

I Johinth Kannan had the oppurtunity to undergo Industry relevant training at chennai based Pentafour softwares. It is one of the largest and top ranked IT Organisation in India. They are established at the helm of MultiMedia application Development and presently expanding into the areas of ERP solutions.
When I went there I had an overview of Visual Basic Software. During my tenure at the ERP division I gained in-depth knowledge about the various constraints relevant to an ERP product. I was able to understand the process that is involved in creating a customized solution for corporate computing.
They trained me in-depth on the pervailing concepts of "Active Server Pages- ASP". Under their guidance I developed an Internet Application Product module, that could be integrated into the commercial transactions of an ERP program.
After the period of one month I have gained immensely by acquiring detailed knwo-how`s involved in the field of software engineering.
Thus I have walked out with a valuable addition to muy resume and tons & tons of confidence.
