Work shop on " Entrepreneurship Awareness & Motivation"

A three day workshop on "Entrepreneurship awareness & motivation" sponsored by National Science & Technolgy Entrepreneurship Development Board(NSTEDB) & the Department of Science & Technology , Government of India from 26^thThursday to 28^th Saturday was conducted in the college Hall. The students were taught about the need for becoming an entrepreneur and the various opportunity available to them.

DAY 1: Thursday 26^th August`99

Inaugration & talk on " Entrepreneurship" by Shri G.C. Nageshwaran Chairman, Confederation of Indian Industries(CII), Coimbatore Zone.

Small scale Industry- Present Scenario by Mr R. Paneerselvam , Assistant Director, SISI, Ministry of Industry, Coimbatore Branch.

" Experiences of an Entrepreneur" by Mr V.Ranganathan, Past President, CODISSA, Coimbatore.

Financial Assistance from " District Industrial Centre" by Mr A.Palanisamy

Manager(credit), DIC, Coimbatore.

Need of Entrepreneurship today by Mr G.Ranganathan, Vice President, Manufacturing Engineering, Coimbatore.

Day 2 : Friday 27^th August`99

Achievement Motivation Training(AMT) by Dr T.K. Suresh Babu , Professor , Department of Mechanical engineering , Regional Engineering College, Calicut.

Day 3: Saturday 28^th August`99

"The challenges of being an entrepreneur " by Mr T.N. Sivakumar, President, Rotary Coimbatore Central.

Opportunities in IT by Mr Ragavendra Prasad , Executive Director, Science & Technology Park (STEP), PSG college of Technology, Coimbatore.

Growth of Software Industry, Opportunities & Challenges, by Mr T.Mani, Managing Partner, Kalpathuru Software Services, Coimbatore.
