The ECE department has an active student association called EXCESS. The association regularly conducts seminars by leading persons from industries, arranges group-discussions and industrial visits , thereby fine-tuning the talents of the students. Through industrial visits, the students are exposed to the actual environment of the industry.
Further the association along with the student branch of IEEE, conducts an annual national level techno-cultural event, COMMUNIKA with the industries sponsoring the events.
The event brings out the organisational talents and managerial talents of the students, therby making them better engineers.The electronic students combined with their knowledge of electronics and computer science, enable them to plunge either into hardware or software field with confidence.
The Electronic students straddle both worlds of electronics and computers, ther by makinfg them most sought -after professional.
